(Inquiries) Regulation 2013

Government Advertising Act 2011

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Government Advertising Act 2011.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to exempt announcements or notices by or on behalf of a Royal Commission, a Special Commission of Inquiry or the Independent Commission Against Corruption from requirements of the Government Advertising Act 2011.

This Regulation is made under the Government Advertising Act 2011, including sections 4 (5) and 15 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Government Advertising Amendment (Inquiries)
Regulation 2013.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Government Advertising Regulation 2012

Clause 4 Exemption from prohibition on political advertising

Insert at the end of the clause:

(2) The Act (other than section 6 (1)) does not apply to any announcement or notice by or on behalf of a Royal Commission, a Special Commission of Inquiry or the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
