GOULBURN CATTLE SALE YARDS ACT.

Act No. 30, 1953.

An Act to authorise and validate the disposal by the Council of the City of Goulburn of part of the land comprising the site of the old cattle sale yards at Goulburn; to dedicate part of such land and certain other land public park and to make provision for the appoint- ment of trustees of the land so dedicated; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 11th December, 1953.]

1. This Act may be cited as the "Goulburn Cattle

, Sale Yards Act, 1953." 2 .

2. (1) The Crown Grant dated the thirteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, and registered in the office of the Registrar-General as volume four hundred and fifty-nine, folio one hundred and ninety-one, whereby certain land was granted to the Borough Council of Goulburn upon trust to use the land as a site for cattle yards and for no other use or purpose whatsoever shall, subject to section four of this Act, have and be deemed always to have had effect as if the trust relating to the use of the land and the proviso relating, inter alia, to the cesser of the trust and the forfeiture and reverter of the land had not been inserted in the Crown Grant.

(2) As on and from the date on which the plan of the subdivision of the land comprised in the Crown Grant referred to in subsection one of this section was registered in the office of the Registrar-General as deposited plan number 16117 the dedication of that land for cattle yards shall be deemed to have been revoked.

3. The proceeds of the sale by the Council of the City of Goulburn of any part of the land comprised in the Crown Grant referred to in section two of this Act shall be credited to the general fund of the Council and may be applied to any purpose to which the general fund may be applied.

4. The land comprising two acres and thirty-two and one-half perches shown as Ardgowan Park in deposited plan registered as number 22963 in the office of the Registrar-General is hereby dedicated as a public park

within the meaning of the Public Parks Act, 1912, and the and the said land shall be deemed to be a public park

Council of the City of Goulburn shall be trustees of the said land for all purposes of that Act and shall be deemed to have been appointed pursuant to that Act to be the trustees of the said land.
