and also the Act passed in the seventeenth year of the said reign intituled " An Act to amend the Act for regulating the Management of the Gold Fields " will expire at the end of the present year unless continued by the authority of the Governor and Legislative Council And whereas it is expedient that the same should be con­ tinued

An Act further to continue for a limited time

the " Act for regulating the Management of the

Gold Fields." [19th October, 1855.]

WHEREAS the Act of Council passed in the sixteenth year of Her present Majesty's reign intituled " An Act for regulating

" the Management of the Gold Fields of New South Wales and for " raising a Revcnue therefrom and for the preservation of order therein"

tinned for a limited period Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of New South Wales by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof That the said first-mentioned Act
so far as the same does not stand repealed or altered by the said secondly above-mentioned Act and the said secondly above-mentioned
Act shall continue in force until the end of the year one thousand

eight hundred and fifty-six.
