Glebe Lands Act 1865
An Act to provide for the sale or mortgage of the Glebe of the Lord Bishop of Tasmania
[Royal Assent 29 September 1865]
Whereas by deed-poll dated the 3rd day of September 1844, and enrolled in the Supreme Court on 20th day of November in the same year, Her Majesty granted to the Lord Bishop of Tasmania and his successors 33 acres and 3 roods of land situate at New Town in the county of Buckingham:And whereas it is expedient to enable the said Bishop, by sale or mortgage of the said land or of part thereof, to raise a sum of money for the purpose of erecting or purchasing a suitable residence for the said Bishop and his successors:
Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
