This by-law may be cited as the Gladstone Area Water Board Amendment By-law 1991 . Amended by-laws 2. The Gladstone Area Water Board By-laws 1989 are amended as set out in this by-law.

2 Gladstone Area Water Board Amendment By-law 1991 Name of provision units 3.(1) A provision of the Gladstone Area Water Board By-laws 1989 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a by- law, may be called a section. (2) A provision of the Gladstone Area Water Board By-laws 1989 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a clause, may be called a subsection. (3) A reference in the Gladstone Area Water Board By-laws 1989 to a by-law or clause of the by-laws designated by a number is a reference to a section or subsection of the by-laws designated by that number. References to a provision of the Act 4. If— (a) there is a reference in the Gladstone Area Water Board By-laws 1989 to a provision of the Gladstone Area Water Board Act 1984 ; and (b) the words ‘of the Act’, or words of similar effect, do not appear at the end of the reference; the Gladstone Area Water Board By-laws 1989 are amended by inserting the words ‘of the Act’ at the end of the reference. Replacement of s.1 (Citation) 5. Section 1— omit , insert— ‘Short title ‘1. This by-law may be cited as the Gladstone Area Water Board By-law 1989. ’. Amendment of s.12 (Water skiing) 6. Section 12(2)— omit ‘ that ’ where it twice occurs, insert ‘ than ’.

3 Gladstone Area Water Board Amendment By-law 1991 Amendment of s.13 (General Use of Lake Awoonga) 7.(1) Section 13(8)(a)— omit ‘ 10 ’ , insert ‘ 25 ’. (2) Section 13(8)(b)— omit , insert— ‘ (b) within a horizontal distance of 30 metres from the shoreline, at a speed exceeding one half knot, except— (i) in accordance with section 12; or (ii) when leaving or approaching a launching area.’.
