Gas Supply Amendment (Safety) Act 1999 (NSW)

An Act to amend the Gas Supply Act 1996 to make further provision for the safe use of gas; and for other purposes.

1Name of Act

This Act is the Gas Supply Amendment (Safety) Act 1999.

2Commencement

This Act commences on a day or days to be appointed by proclamation.

3Amendment of Gas Supply Act 1996 No 38

The Gas Supply Act 1996 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Insert after section 3 (1) (b):

(c)

to promote the safe use of gas.

Omit “Director-General” from section 77 (5).

Insert instead “Head of the Department”.
