Queensland Gas Supply Amendment Act 2008 Act No. 11 of 2008 An Act to amend the GasSupplyAct2003 in relation to the provision of community services [Assented to 17 March 2008]

Gas Supply Amendment Act 2008 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts— 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Gas Supply Amendment Act 2008 . 2 Commencement This Act commences on 31 March 2008. 3 Act amended This Act amends the Gas Supply Act 2003. 4 Insertion of new s 175A Chapter 3, part 1, division 2— insert— ‘175A Additional condition about community services agreement ‘(1) A retailer must not provide customer retail services unless— (a) the retailer— (i) enters into an agreement with the State to provide, for at least 5 years, the community services agreed between the State and the retailer; and (ii) complies with the agreement; or (b) if no agreement is entered into with the State under paragraph (a)(i), the retailer— (i) provides the community services decided by the Minister; and (ii) complies with any conditions included in the Minister’s decision about the provision of the services.
