Gas Safety (Safety Case) (Amendment) Regulations

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to make consequential amendments to the Gas Safety (Safety Case) Regulations 1999 because of amendments made to the Gas Safety Act 1997 by the Gas Industry Acts (Amendment) Act 1998.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 118 of the Gas Safety Act 1997.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on

1 September 1999.

4. Principal Regulations

Gas Safety (Safety Case) (Amendment) Regulations 1999

In these Regulations, the Gas Safety (Safety Case)
Regulations 19991 are called the Principal

Regulations.

5. Safety case under section 52 of the Act

In regulation 28(a) and (b) of the Principal Regulations, for "Type B gas installation" substitute "complex gas installation".

6. Safety case under section 54 of the Act

In regulation 30(a) and (b) of the Principal Regulations, for "Type B gas installations" substitute "complex gas installations".
