Gas (Other Gases) Amendment Act 2023

An Act to amend the Gas Act 1997.

The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1Preliminary1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Gas (Other Gases) Amendment Act 2023.

2Commencement

This Act comes into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation.

Part 2Amendment of Gas Act 19973Amendment of section 4 – Interpretation

Section 4(1), definition of gas—after "means a" insert:

covered gas (as defined by the National Gas Law set out in the Schedule to the National Gas (South Australia) Act 2008) or any other

4Insertion of section 59AA

After section 59 insert:

59AA—Interpretation

In this Part—

gas has the same meaning as in the National Energy Retail Law set out in the Schedule to the National Energy Retail Law (South Australia) Act 2011.
