Gas (Exemption) Order 2005

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 117 of the Gas Act 2000 .23 May 2005

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Gas (Exemption) Order 2005 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3ExemptionThe provisions of Division 1 of Part 3 of the Gas Act 2000 are declared not to have effect in respect of – (a) a person operating a distribution system that distributes liquefied petroleum gas to any of the land comprised in – (i) the particulars of title listed in column 2 of Schedule 1 to this order; or (ii) strata plan registered number 139258; and (b) the sale by retail of liquefied petroleum gas to a customer on any of the land comprised in – (i) the particulars of title listed in column 2 of Schedule 1 to this order; or (ii) strata plan registered number 139258. 4Duration of exemptionThis order remains in force for the period of 12 months commencing on the date on which it takes effect.
