Gaming Machines Amendment

(Miscellaneous) Regulation 2020

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following
Regulation under the Gaming Machines Act 2001.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to clarify that recognised competency cards may be issued in hard copy or in electronic form, and to update the formula for the automatic indexation of fees to enable indexation to commence in the 2020–21 fee year.

This Regulation is made under the Gaming Machines Act 2001, including section 210 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Gaming Machines Amendment (Miscellaneous) Regulation

2020.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Gaming Machines Regulation 2019

(1) Clause 53 Issue and replacement of recognised competency card with RCG

endorsement

Insert “, in hard copy or electronic form,” after “recognised competency card” wherever occurring in clause 53(1) and (4).

(2) Schedule 3 Fees
Omit “2019” from the definition of B in clause 3(1)(b). Insert instead “2018”.
