Regulations 1998

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the 1996 to provide for different methods of determining amounts to be paid into jackpot special prize pools.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 136(5)
and 159 of the Gaming Machine Control Act
1991.

3.  Determination of amounts for payment to jackpot special prize pool

In regulation 3 of the Gaming Machine Control (Jackpots) Regulations 19961, for paragraph (b) substitute—

1998

r. 3 S.R. No. 109/1998

"(b) in the case of a gaming machine of a gaming

operator who holds a licence under section
33 of the Gaming Machine Control Act
1991 with respect to a particular jackpot
special prize pool, by—

(i)  multiplying Z (where Z is the total amount wagered less the sum of all prizes paid) by not more than 0·10; or

(ii)  multiplying the total amount wagered by not more than 0·04—

as determined by the Authority from time to

time.".
