Gaming Machine Control (Fees) (Amendment)
Regulations 1998
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Gaming Machine Control (Fees) Regulations 1992—
(a) to prescribe fees for—
(i) approval of premises; and
(ii) amendment of the conditions of a venue operator's licence; and
(b) to amend certain fees; and
(c)
to replace references to the Victorian Gaming Commission with references to the Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority.
2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 12B(2), 19(2), 27(2A), 69(1) and 159 of the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on the date on which section 7 of the Gaming Acts (Miscellaneous Amendment) Act 1997 comes into operation.
4. Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Gaming Machine
Control (Fees) Regulations 19921 are called thePrincipal Regulations.
5. Amendment of authorising provisions
In regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations, for
"19(2), 26A(2)" substitute "12B(2), 19(2),26A(2), 27(2A)".
6. New regulation 5A inserted
After regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations
insert—
"5A. Fee—application for approval of premisesUnder section 12B(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for an approval of premises is $641.".
7. Amendment of fee for application for venue operator's licence
In regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations, for
"$1400.00" substitute "$585".
8. New regulation 6B inserted

After regulation 6A of the Principal Regulations
insert—"6B. Fee—application for amendment of venue
operator's licence
Under section 27(2A) of the Act, the prescribed fee for an application for amendment of a venue operator's licence is—
(a)
if the amendment is for the addition of an approved venue under section 27(1)(a) of the Act, $216;
(b)
if the amendment is for a variation of the number of gaming machines permitted in an approved venue under section 27(1)(b) of the Act, $173;
(c)
if the amendment is for a variation of the gaming machine areas approved for an approved venue under section 27(1)(c) of the Act, $216.".
9. Amendment of references to Commission
In regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations, for "Commission" (wherever occurring), substitute "Authority".
