2 Gaming Machine Amendment (No. 2) No. 297, 1992 PART 1—PRELIMINARY ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Gaming Machine Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1992 . ˙ Commencement 2. Sections 5 and 6 commence on 1 November 1992. PART 2—AMENDMENT OF GAMING MACHINE REGULATION 1991 ˙ Amended regulation 3. The Gaming Machine Regulation 1991 is amended as set out in this Part. ˙ Amendment of s.18 (Security of keys) 4.(1) Section 18(1) and (2)— omit. (2) Section 18(3)— omit mentioned in subsection (1) ’, insert related to the security of gaming equipment on the licensee’s licensed premises ’. (3) Section 18(4)— omit. (4) Section 18(8) and (9) (but not penalty at end of section)— omit.
3 Gaming Machine Amendment (No. 2) No. 297, 1992 (5) Section 18(3), (5), (6) and (7)— renumber as section 18(1), (2), (3) and (4) respectively. ˙ Amendment of s.35A (Accounts with financial institutions) 5.(1) Section 35A(4) (definition “NC”, after made by cheque )— insert drawn on the account mentioned in subsection (1) ’. (2) Section 35A(5)— omit. ˙ Amendment of s.35B (Entries into general accounts) 6.(1) Section 35B (heading to section)— omit ‘general accounts’, insert ‘accounting records’. (2) Section 35B(1)— omit general accounts ’, insert accounting records ’. (3) Section 35B(2) (definitions “gaming cheques” and “hopper difference” )— omit, insert— ‘ “gaming cheques” means the total monetary amount of cancelled credits and jackpot payouts made by cheque drawn on the account mentioned in section 35A(1) for the licensed premises for the accounting period; “hopper difference” means the amount obtained by subtracting the monetary amount of gaming tokens recorded as the total of the item “closing hopper” in the Monthly Gaming Machine Reconciliation Report from the monetary amount of gaming tokens recorded as the total of the item “opening hopper” in the report for the licensed premises for the accounting period; ’. ˙ Amendment of Schedule 2 (Conditions to which a gaming machine licence is subject) 7. After clause 1(i)(iii)—
4 Gaming Machine Amendment (No. 2) No. 297, 1992 insert— o(fiiiare)moving and replacing, or removing, gaming machines (including transport and installation costs) that are removed by the Director under section 3.15(1) of the Act because of a written request by the licensee; and ’. ˙ Amendment of Schedule 3 (Director’s obligations to a licensee) 8. Subclause (a)— omit, insert— (a) pay the costs of removing and replacing, or removing, gaming machines (including transport and installation costs) that are removed by the Director under section 3.15(1) of the Actotherwise than because of a written request by the licensee; and ’. PART 3—AMENDMENT OF GAMING MACHINE AMENDMENT REGULATION 1992 ˙ Amended regulation 9. The Gaming Machine Amendment Regulation 1992 is amended as set out in this Part. ˙ Insertion of new s.2A 10. After section 2— insert— ‘Amended regulation ‘2A.(1) The Gaming Machine Regulation 1991 is amended as set out in this regulation. ‘(2) This section is made for the avoidance of doubt. ’.
