GAMING COMMISSION AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1997

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Gaming Commission Amendment

16 May 19971 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 2393

Principal regulations

2.     In these regulations the Gaming Commission Regulations 1988* are

referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 12 amended

S. Regulation 12 of the principal regulations is amended -

(a) by inserting after the regulation designation "12." the

subregulation designation "(1)"; and

(b)
St by inserting the following subregulation -

the Commission specified in, or which relate to, the form (2) Unless it is otherwise provided in the directions of

that is annexed to the permit, a permit to which that the financial statement referred to in that subregulation (1)applies is issued subject to the condition
subregulation is required to be prepared and furnished to

the Commission -

(a) if the permit authorizes a permitted lottery to which subregulation (1) (c) applies -

(i)

that is a standard lottery, within 14 days after the drawing of the lottery is completed; or

(ii)

that is a continuing lottery, within 14 days after the date of the expiry of the permit;

or
(b) if the permit authorizes any other kind of gaming, within 7 days after the date of the
expiry of the permit.

Regulation 16 amended

4.     Regulation 16 (2) of theprincipal regulations is amended by deleting

"28 days" and substituting the following -
is 7 days

Regulation 31 amended

5.     Regulation 31 (b) of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

"$500." and substituting the following -
" $1000. ".
Regulation 35 repealed and a regulation substituted

6.     Regulation 35 of the principal regulations is repealed and the following

regulation is substituted -

Accounts, etc.

35. With respect to a continuing lottery, all accounts, tickets, vouchers and things relating to the lottery shall at all times be kept readily accessible by the permit holder for inspection or audit as provided by the Act.

Schedule 4 amended

7.     (1) Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the principal regulations is amended in

rule 6 —

(a) following — in paragraph (a) (i), by deleting "20 cents;" and substituting the
" 50 cents; ";

(b)

in paragraph (a) (ii), by deleting "10 cents;" and substituting the following —

" 30 cents; "; and
(c) in paragraph (d) —

(i)

by inserting after subparagraph (i) the following — " and ";

(ii) and "and" after that subparagraph and substituting a full by deleting the semicolon at the end of subparagraph (ii)

stop; and

(iii)     by deleting subparagraph (iii).

rule 7 — (2) Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the principal regulations is amended in
(a) by inserting after the rule designation "7." the subrule

designation "(1)"; and

(b) by inserting the following subrules —
(2) If the prizes for a game consist of, or include,

rule 8 — (3) Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the principal regulations is amended in

by deleting "between" and substituting the following — " among "; and

(c) by inserting the following subrule —

(2) Where —

(a)

there is more than one winning card in relation to a prize that consists of, or includes, something else having a value other than money ("prize goods"); and

(b)

it is not possible or practicable to share the prize goods equally among all the winners,

money to the value of the prize goods will be shared equally

among all the winners in place of the prize goods.
