An Act to amend the Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, so as to remove certain restrictions relating to multiple poker machines. [Assented to, 4th May, 1983.]

Gaming and Betting (Amendment).
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the "Gaming and Betting (Amendment)
Act, 1983".
Amendment of Act No. 25, 1912.
2. The Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, is amended in the manner set
forth in Schedule 1.
SCHEDULE 1.
(Sec. 2.)
AMENDMENTS TO THE GAMING AND BETTING ACT, 1912.
(1) Section 17 (2 )—
At the end of section 17, insert:—
(2) A game is not an unlawful game to the extent that it is
authorised under the Lotteries and Art Unions Act, 1901.
