Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance relating to gaming and betting

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Gaming and Betting (Amendment)

Ordinance 1982.1

Interpretation

2. Section 2 of the Gaming and Betting Act, 1906 of the State of New South

Wales in its application to the Territory is amended—

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

(a)

by omitting "at which races are being held, being races" from the definition of "Public place" and substituting "at any time during which a race meeting is in progress or would, but for its cancellation or postponement, be in progress, being a race meeting"; and

(b)

by inserting "or would, but for such a cancellation or postponement, be providing" after "providing" in that definition.
