Act No. 77, 1976.
An Act to amend the Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, in relation to certain persons between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one years in clubs registered under Division 4 of Part IIIA of that Act. [Assented to, 2nd December, 1976.]

Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. This Act may be cited as the "Gaming and Betting
(Amendment) Act, 1976".
2. The Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, is amended—
(a) (i) by omitting section 50i (1) (i) and by
inserting instead the following paragraph :—
(i) no person under such age (not being less than eighteen years of age) as may be specified in the rules of the club shall use or operate or be allowed to use or operate poker machines in the club premises :
(ii) by omitting from section 50I (1) the words "Provided further that a club shall not admit members in accordance with paragraph (h) under the age of twenty-one years unless the
members proposing and seconding the admis sion of the members have attained the age of
twenty-one years.";
(b)
by omitting from section 50QA the words "Except in the case of a person who has attained the age of eighteen years and has served outside Australia as a member of the armed forces of the Commonwealth, any person under twenty-one years" and by inserting instead the words "A person under eighteen years";

by omitting from section 50QB (1) the word "twenty-one" and by inserting instead the word "eighteen".
