GAMING AND BETTING (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 57, 1967.

An Act relating to the maximum number of days upon which certain race-meetings may be held; for this purpose to amend the Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts; to validate certain matters; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 29th November, 1967.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : —

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Gaming and Betting (Amendment) Act, 1967".

(2) The Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Gaming and Betting Act, 1912-1967.

(3) This Act shall be deemed to have commenced on the twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven.

(1) The Gaming and Betting Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, is amended by omitting paragraph (b) of section 53E and by inserting in lieu thereof the following paragraph :—

(b) the maximum number of days on which race- meetings may be held on a race-course pursuant to this Act may be increased to the number specified in such proclamation.

(2) The Gaming and Betting and Liquor (Amend­ ment) Act, 1967, is amended by omitting paragraph (i) of section three.
