Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following
Regulation under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to provide for the extension, for a limited period, of certain restricted game hunting licences that were in force at any time between 4 July 2013 and 2 February 2014 (during which time public lands were unavailable for hunting game animals as a consequence of the revocation of all declarations made under section 20 of the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002).
This Regulation is made under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002, including sections 32 and 60
(the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Game and Feral Animal Control Amendment (Extension of
Licences) Regulation 2014.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 3 February 2014 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

Clause 15A
Insert after clause 15:
15A Extension of duration of licences
(1)
A restricted game hunting licence that was in force at any time during the period commencing on 4 July 2013 and ending on 2 February 2014 (the relevant period) has effect for an additional period commencing on 3 February 2014 or on the day after the day on which the licence is due to expire, whichever is the later.
(2) The additional period for a restricted game hunting licence is:
(a)
if the licence was in force during the whole of the relevant period—7 months, or
(b)
if the licence was granted on or after 5 July 2013 but before 15 November 2013—a period equivalent to the number of days during the relevant period for which the holder of the licence held that or any other restricted game hunting licence, or
(c)
if the licence expired on or after 15 November 2013 but before 3 February 2014—7 months.
(3) This clause does not apply to a restricted game hunting licence if:
(a) the licence expired on or after 4 July 2013 but before 15 November 2013, or (b) the licence expired on or after 15 November 2013 but before 3 February 2014 and the holder of the licence did not apply for a further restricted game hunting licence during the relevant period.
