49—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Gambling Legislation Amendment (Responsible Gambling) Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 14 April 2000 as the day on which the following provisions of the Act commence:

(a) Schedule 1 [6], and
(b) Schedule 2 [3] and [10], and
(c) Schedule 6 [8] and [10].

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence provisions of the Gambling Legislation Amendment (Responsible Gambling) Act 1999 that allow courts to make remedial orders in respect of certain offences, and that allow registered clubs and hotels to establish schemes by which persons can exclude themselves from parts of a club or licensed premises used for
