(Responsible Gambling) Act 1999
No 49—Proclamation
GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Gambling Legislation Amendment (Responsible Gambling) Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 10 December 1999 as the day on which that Act commences, except the following provisions:

| (b) | Schedule 2 [3], [5], [10] and [11], |
(c) Schedule 3 [6],
| (d) | Schedule 4 [2], [3] and [4], |
(e) Schedule 5 [1],
| (f) | Schedule 6 [4], [8], [9] and [10], |
(g) Schedule 7 [1].

Gambling Legislation Amendment (Responsible Gambling) Act 1999
No 49—Proclamation
Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the Casino Control Act 1992, the Liquor Act 1982, the Lotteries and Art Unions Act 1901, the Public Lotteries Act 1996, the Racing Administration Act 1998, the Registered Clubs Act 1976, and the Totalizator Act 1997 relating to the conduct of gambling activities.
Certain amendments to those Acts remain uncommenced. Those amendments relate to training courses and remedial orders that may be imposed on certain persons (such as a licensee of licensed premises) with respect to the conduct of gambling activities, directions by the Director of Liquor and Gaming to certain persons with respect to gambling activities, self-exclusion schemes operated by licensed premises and registered clubs, card-operated gaming machines, display of notices that minors are prohibited from entering a lottery, and prohibitions on advertising of alleged methods for winning lotteries.
