Application for approval of the G4S Custodial Services Pty Ltd Wilfred Lopes Centre Collective Agreement 2014.

[1] An application has been made for approval of an enterprise agreement known as the G4S Custodial Services Pty Ltd Wilfred Lopes Centre Collective Agreement 2014 (the Agreement). The application was made pursuant to s.185 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Act). It has been made by G4S Custodial Services Pty Ltd. The Agreement is a single-enterprise agreement.

[2] I have accepted the undertakings attached to this decision which have been given by the employer. They confirm, in particular, that the dispute settlement procedure contained in clause 4 of the Agreement extends to disputes in relation to the National Employment Standards. I am satisfied the undertakings do not cause financial detriment to any employee covered by the Agreement or result in substantial changes to the Agreement.

[3] I am otherwise satisfied that each of the requirements of ss.186, 187, 188 and s.190, as are relevant to this application for approval, have also been met.

[4] The Agreement is approved and, in accordance with s.54 of the Act, will operate from 18 December 2014. The nominal expiry date of the Agreement is 11 January 2016.
