I, IAN GORDON CAMPBELL, Minister for the Environment and Heritage, make this Determination under section 21 of the Fuel Quality Standards Act 2000.

  1. Name of Determination

This Determination is the Fuel Standard (Automotive Diesel) Amendment Determination 2005 (No. 1).

  1. Commencement

This Determination commences on the day after it is registered.

  1. Amendment of Fuel Standard (Automotive Diesel) Determination 2001

Schedule 1 amends the Fuel Standard (Automotive Diesel) Determination 2001.


Schedule 1        Amendments

(section 3)

[1]           Section 2A, before the definition of diesel

ASTM International means the standards development organisation of that name.

[2]           Subsection 3 (2)

(2)   The distillation temperature at which 95% of diesel has been recovered must:

(a)    from 1 July 2005 — not be above 370°C; and

(b)    from 1 January 2006 — not be above 360°C.

(1)   Compliance with the standard set out in section 3 for a substance or parameter is determined by application of the testing method for the substance or parameter in the following table:
