EDMUND CASEY Minister for Primary Industries FRUIT MARKETING ORGANISATION AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1991 Short title 1. These regulations may be cited as the Fruit Marketing Organisation Amendment Regulations 1991. Amended regulations 2. The Fruit Marketing Organisation Regulations 1964, as subsequently amended, are amended as set out in these regulations. Replacement of regs. 43, 44, 45 and 46 3. Regulations 43, 44, 45 and 46— omit, insert—

The number of elected members to each of the sectional group committees is as follows— (a) Banana Group Committee—8 elected members; (b) Pineapple Group Committee—10 elected members; (c) Citrus Group Committee—9 elected members; (d) Deciduous Group Committee—12 elected members; (e) Other Fruits Group Committee—10 elected members; (f) Vegetable Group Committee—12 elected members. ‘Assignment of local associations to electorates ‘44. (1) In each of the schedules to this Part, each local association listed in the schedule is assigned to the electorate set out opposite, for the purpose of electing members to the sectional group committee to which the schedule relates. ‘(2) The schedule relating to the election of members to— (a) the Banana Group Committee is Schedule 1; and (b) the Pineapple Group Committee is Schedule 2; and (c) the Citrus Group Committee is Schedule 3; and (d) the Deciduous Group Committee is Schedule 4; and (e) the Other Fruits Group Committee is Schedule 5; and (f) the Vegetable Group Committee is Schedule 6. ‘Number of members elected by each electorate ‘45. (1) In respect of the Banana Group Committee, Pineapple Group Committee, Deciduous Group Committee, Other Fruits Group Committee and Vegetable Group Committee, 1 member of the committee is to be elected by the voters of each electorate to represent the electorate. ‘(2) In respect of the Citrus Group Committee— (a) 1 member of the committee is to be elected by the voters of each

The voters of an electorate consist of the fruit growers— (a) who are entitled to vote under these regulations; and (b) who are members of a local association assigned to the electorate. ’.
