An Act to Amend “The Fruit Marketing Organisa T he F ruit M arketing O rganisation tion Acts, 1923 to 1945,” in certain A cts A mendment particulars, and for other purposes. A ct of 1956. [A ssented to 5 th N ovember , 1956.] B E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— Short title. 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as “ The Fruit Marketing Organisation Acts Amendment Act of 1956.” Principal (2.) *“ The Fruit Marketing Organisation Acts, 1923 Act. to 1945,” are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. Collective (3.) The Principal Act and this Act may be title. collectively cited as “ The Fruit Marketing Organisation Acts, 1923 to 1956.” Amendment 2. Subsection two of section nine of the Principal of s. 9 (2). Act is amended by repealing the words “ shall also appoint a person ” and inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ may also appoint a person ”. New s. 11 a 3. The following section is inserted after section inserted. eleven of the Principal Act, namely :— Validity of “ [11 a .] (1.) No act or proceeding of the Committee apcrtosceaenddings of Direction or of any Sectional Group Committee, of whether done or taken before or after the enactment Committees. of this section, shall be, or be deemed to be or ever to have been, invalid or illegal in consequence only of the number of the members of the Committee of Direction or of the Sectional Group Committee not being complete at the time of the act or proceeding. * 14 G. 5 No. 39 and amending Acts.

All acts and proceedings of the Committee of Direction or of any Sectional Group Committee, whether done or taken before or after the enactment of this section, shall, notwithstanding any failure or defect in the appointment, election, or nomination of any member, or that any member was disqualified or disentitled to act, be as valid as if every member had been duly appointed, elected, or nominated, and was qualified and entitled to act, as a member of the Committee of Direction or of the Sectional Group Committee concerned, and as if the same had been properly and fully constituted.” 265 An Act to Amend “The Primary Producers’ «|™9n Organisation and Marketing Acts, 1926 to t S> d ®S y 1955,” incertain particulars. 7* °“^si,ATI0N M arketing [A ssented to 11 th A pril , 1957.] A mactd “ pnt 1957. (3.) The Principal Act and this Act may be Collective collectively cited as “ The Primary Producers' tltle' Organisation and Marketing Acts, 1926 to 1957.” 2. Section nine of the Principal Act is amended by Amendment inserting, after subsection 7 a , the following subsection,of s- 9- namely:— “ (T’ b .)
