TRUST FUND COMMITTEE

(VALIDATION).

No. 7 of 1960.

AN ACT to continue the appointment of The Fruit Growing Industry Trust Fund Committee for a certain period, and to validate the functions of that Committee during that period.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.    This Act may be cited as the Fruit Growing 21/yAnZon.

the Act, and the members of which were appointed under section five of the Act for a period of three years ending on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hun- dred and fifty-seven;

"the Act" means the Fruit Growing Industry

(Trust Fund) Act, 1941.

'Extension of

Notwithstanding the provisions of section six of the Act, the term of the appointment of the persons who on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven occupied the offices of members of the Committee, which term but for this section would have expired on that day, is deemed to have continued to and including the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight.

In order to resolve any doubts as to the validity of the functions, powers and acts of administration of the Committee during the period since the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven to and including the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, it is declared that all functions, powers and acts of administration which have been, or which purport to have been, discharged, exercised or performed by the Committee during that period pursuant to the provisions of the Act and which but for this Act may have been of doubtful validity, are hereby ratified as lawful, confirmed and validated.
