AN ACT to amend section three of the Fruit Growing

Industry (Trust Fund) Act, 1941.

[Assented to 18th December, 1944.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title. 1.

This Act may be cited as the Fruit Growing In- dustry (Trust Fund) Act Amendment Act, 1944, and shall be read as one with the Fruit Growing Industry (Trust Fund) Act, 1941 (No. 47 of 1941), hereinafter re- ferred to as the principal Act.

Amendment

of s. 3. 2. Section three of the principal Act is amended as

follows :—

(a) The definition of "Dealer" is amended by de- leting in paragraph (c) the word "cases" in line three of the said paragraph and inserting in lieu thereof the word "bushels" and by adding at the end of the said paragraph (c) the word "or";

(b) The definition of "Dealer" is amended by adding at the end thereof new paragraphs as follows :-

(d) being a grower, himself sells retail in any one year not less than two hundred and fifty bushels of fruit produced by him; or

(e) who purchases fruit wholesale for re- sale after some method of treatment which renders it saleable in an altered form or con- dition.
