An Act to permit friendly societies to enter into partnerships for the purpose of conducting after- hours pharmacies; for this purpose to amend the Friendly Societies Dispensaries Enabling Act9 1945; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 14th October, 1970.]

1 . This Act may be cited as the "Friendly Societies Dispensaries Enabling (Amendment) Act, 1970".
B and with the advice and consent of the Legislative E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by

Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : —

2. The Friendly Societies Dispensaries Enabling Act, 1945, is amended by inserting at the end of section two the following new subsection : —

(5) Notwithstanding any other provision of this sec­ tion, a friendly society carrying on business in accord­ ance with this section may, with the consent in writing of the Minister and subject to such conditions as he sees fit to impose, enter into not more than one partnership for the purpose of conducting an after-hours pharmacy, as defined in section seventy-eight of the Factories, Shops and Industries Act, 1962, at any place specified in the consent.
