This regulation may be cited as the Friendly Societies Amendment Regulation 1991 .

Draft 1 2 05-04-98 — 3:08pm Friendly Societies Amendment Regulation 1991 Regulations amended 2. The Friendly Societies Regulations 1991 are amended as set out in this regulation. Name of provision units 3. (1) A provision of the Friendly Societies Regulations 1991 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a regulation may be called a section. (2) A provision of the Friendly Societies Regulations 1991 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a subregulation may be called a subsection. (3) A reference in the Friendly Societies Regulations 1991 to a regulation or subregulation designated by a number is a reference to a section or subsection designated by that number. References to a provision of the Act 4. If— (a) there is a reference in the Friendly Societies Regulations 1991 to a provision of the Friendly Societies Act 1991 ; and (b) the words ‘ of the Act ’ , or words of similar effect, do not appear at the end of the reference; the Friendly Societies Regulations 1991 are amended by inserting the words ‘ of the Act ’ at the end of the reference. Amendment of s. 1 (Short title) 5. Section 1—

Amendment of s. 28 (Inspection of documents in Registrar’s Office — Prescribed documents) 6. (1) Section 28(a)— omit , insert — ‘ (a) documents lodged with the Registrar under section 4.29(1) of the Act; and ’. (2) Section 28(b)— omit , insert — ‘ (b) documents provided to the Registrar under section 5.27(1) of the Act; and (c) documents (other than a form of annual return) provided to the Registrar under section 8.4 of the Act. ’. Amendment of Schedule 2 (Fees) 7. (1) Schedule 2 (item 12)— omit ‘ item 8 ’ , insert ‘ item 11 ’ . (2) Schedule 2 (item 13)— omit ‘ item 8 ’ , insert ‘ item 11 ’.
