FRIENDLY SOCIETIES [ASSENTED TO 30TH OCTOBER 1924.] BE ACT 1~ : ~~ ~ :: 4~ ' it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - ,Short title 1. This Act may be cited as "The Friendly : ~ ~ stru t'o Societies Act Amendment Act of 1924" and shall be read -of Act. Cl n as one with *" The Friendly Societies Act of 1913," herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and t" The Friendly Societies Act Amendment Act of 1914" and this Act may collectively be cited as "The Fdendly Societies Acts, 1913 to 1924." Amendment 2. (a) Subsection one of section twenty-two of -of B. 22. the Principal Act is amended as follows : - (i.) The word "March" is repealed and the word " September" is iIlBerted in lieu thereof. (ii.) The words "thirty-first day of December" are repealed and the words "thirtieth day of June" are inserted in lieu thereof. (iii.) The words "month of December or January" are repealed and the words "month of June or July" are inserted in lieu thereof. (b) The amendments hereby made in the Principal Act shall come into force on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five: Provided that the first return made in pursuance of section twenty-two of the Principal Act as amended by this Act shall be for the period only of six months ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and the report and list accompanying such return and referred to in subsection two of the said section twenty-two shall be in respect of that period only. * 4 Geo.
