AN ACT to further amend the Friendly Societies Act, 1894.

B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative
this present Parliament assembled, and by the autlmrity of
the same, as follows :-

This Act may be cited as the Friendly Societies Act Amendment Act, 1920.

(13.) A society as Mortgagee shall have the right of foreclosure; but any land to which a society may become absolutely entitled by -foreclosure, or by surrender, or other extinguishment of the right of redemption, shall as soon afterwards as conveniently practicable be sold or converted into money.
Amendment of
Section seventeen (a) of the Friendly Societies Act, 1894 (inserted by the Act No. 6 of 1917) is hereby amended, by inserting after the word "books," in paragraphs (a) and (b) of subsection (1) thereof, the words "securities and documents," and by inserting after the word "books," in the proviso to subsection (1) thereof, the words "securities or documents."

Citation and re-
The principal Act and the amendments thereof may be, cited together as the Friendly Societies Act, 1894-1920, and all copies of the principal Act hereinafter printed by the Government Printer shall be printed as altered by such amendments, under the supervision of the Clerk of Parlia- ments, and reference to the amending Acts shall be made in the margin. In any such reprint the short title shall be altered to the Friendly Societies Act, 1894-1920.
