1, This Act may be cited as "The Friendly Societies Amendment short title.

2, The provisions of all Acts relating to Friendly Societies shall Provisions of

themselves of the provisions of the said Acts.

3, All general laws and rules heretofore made by any Fricndly Generallawsand

Society, so far as they provide for the admission of women as rules providing for

members of such society, are hereby validated and confirmed as validrated.

4, The expression " women " used in this Act includes females Interpretation,

of all ages, and the expression men " includes males of all ages.

5. The expression '( Friendly Societies " shall mean and include-

( a ) All Friendly Societies from time to time registered under

the Act No. 22 of 1852, intituled	An Act to regulate
Friendly Societies ":

( b ) The Independent Order of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity,

Friendly Society, in South Australia, referred to in

The Manchester Unity of Oddfellows Act, 1874 ":

(c) All Friendly Societies enumerated in Schedule A to The

Friendly Societies Act, 1886," and incorporated there- under.
