AN ACT to amend the Fremantle Municipal Tramways and Electric Lighting Act, 1903-1943, to extend the powers provided therein.

RE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,

by and with the advice and consent of the Legis-

lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western

Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by

the authority of the same, as follows :—

Short title	1. This Act may be cited as the Fremantle Tramways and Electric Lighting Act Amendment Act, 1946, and
shall be read as one with the Fremantle Tramways and Electric Lighting Act, 1903-1943 (a Private Ad of 1903 as reprinted pursuant to the Amendments Incorporation Act, 1938, in Volume one of the Reprinted Acts of the Parliament of Western Australia, 1939, and amended by the Act No. 26 of 1943), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.
New section	2. A new section is inserted in the principal Act after section twenty-six as follows:-

26A. Without prejudice to the powers hereinhe- fore conferred on the Board and in addition thereto and to all other powers under this Act the Board may for any of the purposes of this Act exercise the following powers :—

(a) To purchase, take on lease or in exchange,

hire or otherwise acquire any real or

personal property and any rights or

privileges which the Board may deem necessary or convenient for the purpose of its operations.

(b) To sell, exchange, lease, mortgage, dispose of, turn to account or otherwise deal with such of its property, both real and personal which in the opinion of the Board is no longer required by the Board for the purposes of this Act.

3. The principal Act as amended by this Act may be Citation ofprincipal Act

cited as the Fremantle Tramways and Electric Lighting	as amended.
