AN ACT to authorise the Sale of certain Lands vested in the Mayor and Councillors of the Municipality of Fremantle.

[Assented to 27th August, 1906.]

HEREAS by a Crown Grant dated the twenty-ninth day of

Preamble.

WNovember, one thousand nine hundred and two, Fremantle

Town Lots Seven hundred and eleven and Seven hundred and twelve were granted to the Mayor and Councillors of the Munici- pality of Fremantle in consideration of Lot Seven hundred and eleven being fenced and improved for recreation purposes, and Lot Seven hundred and twelve (after providing for the extension of Stephen Street), being used for municipal purposes, and pursuant thereto the Mayor and Councillors of the Municipality of Fremantle are now registered in the Register Book of the Office of Land Titles as the proprietors for an estate in fee simple in posses- sion: And whereas it is desirable that the Mayor and Councillors of the Municipality of Fremantle should be empowered to sell the land so granted as aforesaid, and apply the proceeds to the improvement of Fremantle Town Lot One thousand five hundred and thirteen (Reserve A 1351) : Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent; of the

Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Fremantle Reserves Act, 1906.

Power to Council to 2. It shall be lawful for the Mayor and Councillors of the

Seven hundred and eleven and Seven hundred and twelve (Registered in the Register Book of the Office of Lands Titles, Volume CCLX., folio 129) except so much of Lot Seven hundred and twelve as by proclamation dated the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six, was dedicated to the public as a highway and is now an extension of Stephen Street, to be held and enjoyed by the purchaser freed and discharged from the trusts to which the same are now subject.
