AN ACT to amend 2 Edw. VII., No. 7 of 1902, being an Act relating to the Site of Convict Prison, Fremantle.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Fremantle 0710,2t,Iggn,

Prison Site Act Amendment Act, 1957.

(2) In this Act,

relating to the Site of the Prison at Fremantle, is referred to as the principal Act. short title.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Fremantle Prison Site Act, 1902-1957.

8.4 added. 2. The principal Act is amended by adding after

section three the following section:-

4. Subject to the grants mentioned in the Second Schedule to this Act, but notwithstand- ing the trust recited in the preamble to the Ordinance repealed by this Act, the land described in the First Schedule to this Act becomes on the coming into operation of the Fremantle Prison Site Amendment Act, 1957, Crown land for the purpose of, and thereafter may be dealt with as Crown land under, the Land Act, 1933.
