FREMANTLE PORT AUTHORITY AMENDMENT REGULATIONS
(NO. 4) 1991
5 July 1991.] Made by the Fremantle Port Authority and approved by His Excellency the
Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Fremantle Port Authority
Amendment Regulations (No. 4) 1991.
Principal regulations
2. In these regulations the Fremantle Port Authority Regulations 1971* are
referred to as the principal regulations.

3. Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after
the definition of "Inspector", the following definition -

'International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code" means the Consolidated 1990 Edition of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code as published by the International Maritime Organization.
Regulation 199 amended
4 Regulation 199 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting
paragraphs (a) and (b) and substituting the following paragraph -

(a) Explosives classified as Code 14S under the International
Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
Regulation 201 repealed and
a regulation substituted5. Regulation 201 of the principal regulations is repealed and the following
regulation is substituted -
Where vessels are to anchor

201. Vessels arriving at the Port with explosives on board, or desiring to load explosives while in the Port, shall anchor in Gage Roads not less than half a mile from any other vessel, or 2 miles from any wharf or landing place as directed by the Harbour Master.
Regulation 204 amended
6. Regulation 204 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

Regulation 206 repealed and
a regulation substituted7. Regulation 206 of the principal regulations is repealed and the following
regulation is substituted -
Segregation of explosives

206. Explosives shall be segregated in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code. Regulation 228 amended
8. Regulation 228 of the principal regulations is amended -
(a) by repealing subregulation (1) and substituting the following subregulation - by the Port Authority vessels of any description shall (1) With the exception of craft duly authorized

substituting the following —

Various provisions repealed
9. The principal regulations are amended by repealing the provisions
referred to in the table to this regulation.
