AN ACT to authorise the Construction of a
Railway from Fremantle to Owen's Anchorage.

| Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament | BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and | with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and |
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. THIS Act may be cited as the Fremantle-Owen's Anchor-
| age Railway Act, 1897. | Short title. |
2. IT shall be lawful to construct and maintain a railway from
Fremantle to Owen's Anchorage, with all necessary, proper, and construction.
usual works, and conveniences in connection therewith, in the line
described in the Schedule of this Act.

| Deviation. | 3. IT shall be lawful for the Commissioner of Railways to |
deviate from the line as described in such Schedule, to the extent of
half-a-mile on either side thereof.

SCHEDULE.
FREMANTLE-OWEN'S ANCHORAGE RAILWAY.
DESCRIPTION OF LINE OF RAILWAY.
Commencing at a point at or near the Government Railway Sheds in the vicinity of Dalgety Street, at Fremantle, thence proceeding across and along Marine Terrace, Fremantle; and continuing along the coast line in a generally Southerly direction and terminating thereon at a distance of 2 miles 55 chains, or thereabouts, from the said Railway Sheds ; as more particularly delineated and coloured red on Map marked P.W.D., W.A. 5947, deposited as provided for by 55 Victoria;, No. 34, Section 10.
