AN ACT to amend the Fremantle Municipal

Tramways and Electric Lighting Act,

1903-1946.

[Assented to 17th December, 1952.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Fremantle gaviatn.

Municipal Tramways and Electric Lighting Act

Amendment Act, 1952.

(2) In this Act the Fremantle Municipal Tram- ways and Electric Lighting Act, 1903-1946,

a Private Act of 1903, as reprinted with amend- tri,d,fra,

ments to and including Act No. 18 of 1937

incorporated pursuant to the provisions of the

Amendments Incorporation Act, 1938, and as

further amended by Acts Nos. 26 of 1943 and

42 of 1946,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Fremantle Municipal Tramways and Electric Lighting Act, 1903-1952.

amendments. 2. The principal Act is amended by

(a)	deleting the words "Fremantle Municipal Tramways and Electric Lighting Board" wherever they appear and substituting therefor the words "Fremantle Municipal Transport Board";
(b)	deleting the words "Tramways Electoral Roll (Freeholders)" wherever they appear and substituting therefor the words "Trans- port Electoral Roll (Freeholders)";
(c)	deleting the words "Tramways Electoral Roll (Occupiers)" wherever they appear and substituting t h e r e f or the words "Transport Electoral Roll (Occupiers)".

amended.	3. Section twenty-two of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words, "Tramways Electoral Rolls" in line eleven the words, "Transport Electoral Rolls".

amended. 4. Section twenty-six of the principal Act is

amended by deleting the proviso to paragraph (f).

amended. 5. Section thirty-seven of the principal Act is

amended by

(a)	substituting for the words, "third Wednes- day" in line four the words, "fourth Satur- day";
(b)	substituting for the words, "Municipal Institutions Act, 1900" in lines six and seven the words, "Municipal Corporations Act, 1906-1951"; and
(c)	substituting for the words, "Seventh and Eighth" in lines eight and nine the words, "Eighth and Tenth".

amended. 6. Section thirty-eight of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words, "the first day of December following" in line eight the words, "the appointment of his successor".
