Freedom of Information (Exempt Offices) (Interim)

Regulations 1997

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe certain offices for the purposes of section 5(3)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections
5(3)(a) and 66 of the Freedom of Information

Act 1982.

3. Exempt offices

For the purposes of section 5(3)(a) of the offices are prescribed offices—

(a) the office of Auditor-General;
(b) the office of Director of Public Prosecutions;
(c) the office of Legal Ombudsman;

(d) the office of Ombudsman;
(e) the office of Public Advocate;

(f) the office of Solicitor-General.

4. Expiry

These Regulations cease to have any force or effect on 20 April 1998.
