An Act to abolish fees in primary and superior public schools ; to amend the Public Instruc tion Act of 1880; and for other purposes incidental thereto. [5th October, 1906.]
| BE it enacted l>y the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative | Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the |
| authority of the same, as follows :—• |
1. (1) This Act m a y b e cited as the " F r e e Education Act,
DOG," and shall be construed with the Public Instruction Act of 1880,
hereinafter called the Principal Act.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on the Monday
immediately following the day on which it receives the Poyal assent.
2. On and after the coming into operation of this Act, education in primary and superior public schools shall be free, and no fees shall be chargeable for the same, and section eleven of the Principal Act is hereby repealed accordingly, and section twenty-seven of the same
Act is amended by the omission of the words "and for the higher
classes in superior public schools."
