FOUNDATION DAY OBSERVANCE

(1949 ROYAL VISIT).

AN ACT relating to the observance of a holiday on Foundation Day during the year of the proposed Royal Visit, namely one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title. 1.

This Act may be cited as the Foundation Day Observance ( 1949 Royal Visit) Act, 1948.

Substitution

of day	2.	By proclamation, the Governor may specify any
specified in

proclamation	day in the year one thousand nine hundred and forty-
appointed in
for day	nine as that for the observance, in any specified part
any Act, etc.	of the State, of a holiday for Foundation Day in that year, and when the proclamation is made, any pro- visions

(a) of any Act, and

(b) of any award or agreement made under the provisions of the Industrial Arbitration Act, 1912-1941,

which relate to the observance iii that part of the State of a holiday for Foundation Day, shall have effect as if the day specified in the proclamation were substituted for the day appointed in the Act, award or agreement, for the. observance in that part of the State of the holiday.
