1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to revoke the Forests (Timber Promotion Council) Regulations 2004.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Forests Act 1958.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 30 August 2005.

4Revocation

The Forests (Timber Promotion Council) Regulations 2004[1] are revoked.

1.     General Information

The Forests (Timber Promotion Council) (Revocation) Regulations 2005, S.R. No. 102/2005 were made on 30 August 2005 by the Governor in Council under section 99 of the Forests Act 1958, No. 6254/1958 and came into operation on 30 August 2005: regulation 3.

The Forests (Timber Promotion Council) (Revocation) Regulations 2005 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 30 August 2015 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
