AN ACT to amend the Forests Act, 1918-1964.

[Assented to 17th November, 1969.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Forests Act

Amendment Act, 1969.

2. Subsection (2) of section 41 of the principal totrent

Act is amended—

revenue to

(a)	by adding after the subsection designation 1).:fieZded
"(2)" the paragraph designation "(a)";

and

(b) by adding the following paragraphs

(b) For the purposes of paragraph (a) of this subsection, the net revenue of the department shall be determined by deducting from the revenue thereof as defined by subsection (5) of this section, the amount appropriated against the consolidated revenue fund for the purposes of this Act; but in so determin- ing the net revenue the amounts appropriated to meet interest and sinking fund charges on loan fund moneys used pursuant to this Act, for the purposes of forestry, shall not be taken into account.

(c) Paragraph (b) of this subsection shall be deemed to have had effect on and from the first day of January one thousand nine hundred and forty-six. .
