AN ACT to amend Sections forty-one of the

Forests Act, 1918.

Subject to section three of this Act, section forty- one of the principal Act (as it originally appeared in the principal Act No. 8 of 1919)* is amended by inserting in subsection (2) thereof after the word "department," in line one of the said subsection, the words "except revenue derived from sandalwood."

* Section forty-one of the principal Act, the Forests Act, 1938 (No. 8 of 1919), was temporarily amended from time to time by the Acts No.

31 of 1924, No. 9 of 1927, and No. 28 of 1930, and by various annual enactments such temporary amendments of the said section forty-one

were continued in operation until upon the expiration of the Act No. 7

of 1934 on the 30th day of June, 935, the said temporary amendments ceased any longer to have effect, and thereupon section forty-one afore- said reverted to the form in which it originally appeared in the Forests Act, 1918 (No. 8 of 1919).
