AN ACT to continue the operation of Section forty-one of the Forests Act, 1918, as amended by the Forests Act Amendment Act, 1924, and to amend the proviso to subsection three thereof.

of the same, as follows :-

Short tit!e.

1.

This Act may be cited as the Forests Act Amend- ment Act, 1927, and shall be read as one with the Forests

Act, 1918, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment of

2.

The proviso to subsection three of section forty-one of the principal Act (inserted by section two of the Act No. 31 of 1924) is hereby amended by deleting the words " re-growth of sandalwood " and inserting in place thereof

improvement and reforestation of sandalwood reserves,

and the development of the sandalwood industry."

Continuation of

Section forty-one of the principal Act shall, as from the first day of July one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, continue in force as amended by the Forests Act Amendment Act, 1924, and this Act, until the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and no longer.
