FORESTRY AND NATIONAL PARK ESTATE ACT 1998—
PROCLAMATION
(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.
I. the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South
Wales. with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Forestry and National Park Estate Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:
| (a) | 18 December 1998 as the day on which section 46 to, and Schedule 11 of, that Act commence, and |
| (b) | 1 January 1999 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Proclamation appoints:
| ( a ) | Is December 1998 as the day on which the amendment made by the above Act to the Native Title (New South Wales) Act 1994 commences, and |
| (b) | 1 January 1999 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of the above Act commence. |
Section 2 of the above Act provides for the commencement on the date of assent of the
amendments to the Timber Industry (Interim Protection) Act 1992 and of the savings and
transitional provisions (sections 44 and 48 of, and Schedules 9 and 13 to. the above Act) .
Section 2 of the above Act also provides for the commencement on 1 January 1999 of
the provisions relating to the transfer of lands (Parts 1 and 2 of, and Schedules 1-7 to, the
above Act) .
