FORESTRY ACT 1916—REGULATION

(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Forestry Act 1916, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 January 1993.

Amendment

2. The Forestry Regulation 1983 is amended by omitting Schedule 1

and by inserting instead the following Schedule:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Forestry Regulation 1983:

(a)

to increase fees in respect of licences, leases and certain permits and other matters; and

(b) to extend the range of fees to include applications for occupation permits,
forest leases and variations of conditions of forest leases—where on-site
inspections are required.

This Regulation is made under the Forestry Act 1916, including section 41 (the

general regulation-making power) (in particular, section 41 (1) (b), (d) and (n) and

(2)), and sections 27A, 27B, 27C, 28, 31, 32B and 33.
