His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Forestry Act 1916.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to increase certain fees in respect of licences, permits, leases and other matters set out in the Forestry Regulation

1994. This Regulation also confirms that a prescribed fee is payable for a

contractor’s licence or an operator’s licence.
This Regulation is made under the Forestry Act 1916, including section 41

(the general regulation-making power, in particular, section 41 (1) (b) and

(n)).

Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Forestry Amendment (Fees) Regulation

1996.

Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 January 1997.

Amendment of Forestry Regulation 1994

The Forestry Regulation 1994 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

(2) The prescribed fee for a contractor’s licence or an operator’s licence must be paid before the licence is issued.
