Foreign Fishing Boats Levy Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Foreign Fishing Boats Levy Act 1981.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 27 July 1984.

Interpretation

2. Regulation 3 of the Foreign Fishing Boats Levy Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting “1983” from the definition of “agreement” and substituting “1984”; and

(b) by omitting “with the Kaohsiung Fishing Boat Commercial Guild and” from the definition of “agreement”.

Levy payable in respect of licences granted in accordance with the agreement

3. Regulation 5 of the Foreign Fishing Boats Levy Regulations is amended

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “$1,271,753” (wherever occurring) and substituting “$1,447,985”; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) “$12,219.54” and substituting “$13,914”.
